Futurology Magazine is a concept magazine based off of the Futurology subreddit r/futurology. The magazine articles are directly from the top posts of the subreddit and have been turned into features, departments and articles.
This project consisted of many parts. I had to design the logo, cover, table of contents, features and departments. In order to do so I first had to pick a topic, which I chose future technology. I used the Futurology subreddit to use as the content for my magazine. I created multiple departments and one major feature all from the top posts of the subreddit.
One of the major things to keep in mind for this project was good typography and heirarchy. I had to stay consistent throughout with my headings and content and had to create good contrast between headings and body copy. I used multiple paragraph styles along with a display typeface in order to create consistent hierarchy and contrast.
